ANNEX THEATRE announces AUDITIONS for interlace [falling star], a play by Scott O. Moore
Annex Theatre will be producing Scott O. Moore's new play interlace [falling star] from July 25 - August 23. We are seeking 6 to 10 actors (depending on double-casting). All ages, races, and genders encouraged to audition.
Auditions will be held on Saturday, May 10, from 12-4 pm at Annex Theatre. (Please note: Callbacks will be the very next day, Sunday, May 11.)

ABOUT THE PLAY: When a young amnesiac, Andrea Change, is discovered in the lobby of the United Association of Interdimensionary Travelers -- a building with an infinite number of floors, at the top of which resides the offices of the One, True,Unknown Supreme Being -- her unexplained presence sets off a series of increasingly catastrophic events that not only compromise the security of the Association, but threaten to unravel the entire fabric of creation itself! Can a superhero with a divine pedigree (the Amazing Dr. X), an android companion, and archangels and devils together combine forces to prevent the impending Apocalypse?

interlace [falling star] fuses science fiction and fantasy to tell this tale of faith gained and lost against an epic backdrop. While the characters of Andrea and Dr. X are already cast, we are looking for actors to play the following roles:
- PRINCESS (female) and JOHNNY (male) -- two club kids on a night on the
town, hipsters with a shady connection to the hidden zones of the building
- RAMON (male) -- a "shrink" in Shamanic Services who tries to diagnose
Andrea's memory problems, with unhappy consequences
- JESUS (male) -- an Association agent performing one final mission before
leaving the Intelligence service, a wily survivor with a surprising
history
- ANSEL (male) -- a brainy Medical technician who blithely assumes that
"science" will easily diagnose Andrea's problems
- TRICKLE (female) -- an escort robot who initially uses the personality of
a small girl to try to comfort Andrea, then switches to the personality of
an adult companion when the small girl doesn't quite work
- AGENT GREY (female) -- a menacing psychic from Security who poses a true
threat to Andrea's freedom, a tenacious "beat cop"
- JAYCE (female) -- the head of the Religion branch, a passionate,
intelligent student of the belief systems of the universe, who carries a
not-quite-secret torch for Dr. X
- IALDABAOTH (male) -- a demiurge in disguise as human, fixated on rescuing
his mother from her imprisonment so that he might once again feel the
taste of power
- SOPHIA (female) -- a goddess imprisoned for her crimes, petulant and
tortured, but filled with regret
- SATAN (male) -- an urbane and sophisticated diplomat with a long history
of questioning authority
- MICHAEL (male or female) -- a sad and lonely archangel, far removed from
the glory he once held, with one last task to perform
- MAGUS (male or female) -- the computerized intelligence that controls the
systems of the building
- KELLIN & CARISSA (male & female; or two females) -- tourists whose visit to the building is rudely interrupted by mayhem
Many roles will be double-cast.
