Donar’s Gravitic Bubble

5th-Level Dunamancy

Casting time: 1 action
Range: within sight
Duration: 1 minute (concentration)
Area: 40′ radius sphere

An invisible spherical force field appears, inside which gravity does not exist. Creatures with no fly speed temporarily gain a fly speed equal to their movement, if they choose to jump on the first round inside the sphere. Once their path is set, they have no further direct control over their movement unless they pass within their reach of a tree, building, or other structure. Creatures with a fly speed gain double their fly speed while inside the sphere. Creatures with no fly speed who do not choose to jump on the first round must succeed at a DC 16 DEX save or float off the ground uncontrollably.

Creatures with no fly speed which reach the border of the sphere glide down the border (which has a sort of surface tension) at 10 feet per round until they either reach the ground, or drop from the bottom of the sphere. A creature which reaches the ground via the border takes no fall damage. A creature dropping off the bottom takes fall damage as normal, from the sphere’s center point minus 40′.

Loose objects within the sphere (rocks, equipment, vehicles, etc.) will float off the ground, rising upward at 10 feet per round until they reach the border of the sphere, at which point they descend along the border as described above. The ground itself is not affected by this spell, for DM workload reasons.

Note: this spell is intended to be a donation tier for the A(nnex)D&D stream, which is why it has a fixed DEX DC. To use it in your game, reset the DEX save DC to the caster’s spell save DC.
