ANNEX THEATRE FUNDRAISING CAMPAIGN
“THE WRITING IS ON THE WALL: 39 FOR 39”
Season 39 arises in a world where the walls are scrawled with the laments and rages of danger, of possibility, of people fighting to live freely and fully. Annex Theatre has always been a home for the bold, the marginalized, the unheard. But as we tell these stories, we also recognize a truth:
We are not the ones saving lives.
We are the ones amplifying the voices of those fighting for theirs.
So this year, our Season 39 campaign isn’t just about supporting the art.
It’s about supporting the community that the art is fighting for.
We’re asking our audience to give in a way that echoes our theme and honors the people at the heart of our work.
We ask you to match your donation to Annex by donating to a mission-aligned nonprofit.
Below you will find a list of recommended non-profits that members of the Annex company and community believe in and feel their mission aligns with ours.
Also, to help make it easier to invest within the community, scroll down to see the details about a special event pricing available for A-List membership.
If it comes down to choosing between helping us tell stories and helping a nonprofit keep someone housed, fed, safe or alive?
Choose them. Absolutely choose them.
(We’ll be here when you get back.)

WHY WE’RE ASKING NOW
Season 39 opens February 5th—and these stories?
They’re about the people who are watching the world tilt and still refusing to go quietly.
They’re about those targeted by cruelty, erased by policy, diminished by systems.
And they deserve stages.
Spaces.
Megaphones.
Best chance to become Legends.
To get there, we aim to raise $3,939.39 before opening night.
Your gift keeps the lights on and the doors open, but more importantly,
it extends and empowers our community to join with the greater community in the collective struggle for survival, dignity, and the right to live unpunished and joyfully.
