Annex Theatre is an anarcho-democratic collective of artists dedicated to producing bold new work in an environment of improbability, resourcefulness, and risk. Since 1986, our ever-expanding company has created experiences onstage every season that reflect the world around us, with all the spectrum of creativity, joy and criticism imaginable.

In 2026, Annex is furthering its mission of cultivating new artists with the debut of the Work-In-Progress Showcase, which will feature one of the previous season’s staged readings as a fully produced mainstage show.

Join us for Season 39 where secrets surface, memories fracture, and as the shadows press close. We laugh or we fight. Often both.
