ATOMIC WILD

Atomic Wild is a new interdisciplinary performance built from civic myth, memory, spectacle, and our enduring obsession with the future.
Moving between Seattle’s Century 21 World’s Fair, the uranium boom of the Atomic West, and 40 years of art-making at Annex Theatre, Atomic Wild looks at the strange promises we make about what comes next: the futures we advertise, the futures we build, and the stories that survive their makers.
Developed with the Annex community through a collaborative devising process, Atomic Wild asks: What do we inherit? What do we bury? What refuses to disappear? And what can the future hold?

Submit once per season to be considered for all upcoming shows
Upload a resumé, headshot, and a short video audition
Note any productions that interest you
Season 40 shows are currently listed on the form, with additional opportunities announced through our Backstage email list.
Video Submission Requirements
Slate your name and pronouns
Two contrasting pieces (monologues or a monologue + song)
Total length under 3 minutes
Who Should Audition
Performers 18+
Actors, singers, dancers/movers
Artists excited by experimental, devised, or new-work development
People available for evening and weekend rehearsals
Those who value inclusive, anti-racist, anti-ableist, anti-sexist creative spaces
Annex Theatre supports bold voices. We strongly encourage audition submissions from underrepresented, marginalized, and global majority artists.
Compensation
Most productions include a stipend e.g. $150 for mainstages, $20 for readings.
