In 1999, when a formerly unknown painter rockets to overnight fame, it seems like a dream come true. The only problem? The work that everyone loves is a nude of her younger girlfriend, who didn’t explicitly consent to being the subject. As the artist's career skyrockets, the model’s life is left to be defined by someone else's representation of her naked form. Years later, as the artist, the model, and an almost definitely trustworthy museum curator fight for control over the narrative, audiences are left to wonder: who truly deserves the credit, and can we ever be separate from those who care for us?

Daisy Shreiber

Daisy (she/her) is an actor, writer, administrator, and always happy to help out. A recent graduate of the University of Washington, and a lifelong Seattleite, she is profoundly grateful to call the PNW home. Daisy cares deeply about honest stories that unearth unexpected commonalities, attempts to approach her artistry with tremendous love and gratitude for those around her, and admits that she’s a sucker for a happy ending. She thinks often of the ways bodies construct meaning onstage, and aims to tell stories that soften the barbs we turn on ourselves. Outside of rehearsal Daisy talks very loudly, drives with her windows down, and always wants a hug.

Sammy is a Seattle-based director, performer, and stage manager. Recent work includes: Everybody and OMNIA: Break Room at the University of Washington, and THE STUPIDEST SCARIEST TIME. In the daylight hours, Sammy works at a cat cafe, thinks deeply about the world, and enjoys every bit of programming on Dropout TV. They adore making art that asks audiences to lean in and engage with all the curiosity and heart they can muster. YOU are what makes this piece complete.

    Natalie just got to Seattle and is thrilled to be making their Annex debut. When not on stage, you can find her wandering around the library, running with her dog Hermes, or furiously trying to find a bar that serves Malort.   • Valeria Aguirre Diaz

    she/her

    Valeria is a bilingual, Latina actor. She earned her degree in Gender, Women, and Sexuality studies at UW, but a few years later found herself in Seattle's acting community. When she's not on stage, you can find her running a food truck in Issaquah. She’s thrilled to be making her debut with Annex.

  • Alyson R H Lapan

    Alyson is a Seattle-based actor and studio artist, and is excited to make her debut at Annex. Since beginning acting classes in 2024 at Freehold Theatre Lab, she has performed in The Coast Starlight (Anna) and Rebellious Women (Bertha/Emily/Tom). She is extremely grateful for her husband Jim Lapan’s support.

    Charlie is entering their second year as a student at the University of Washington studying Drama Design and Digital Photo and Media. They have been having fun and putting out fires backstage for 5 years now. In their free time they enjoy spending time with their friends, crocheting, and napping with their cat, Omelette.

    Dizzy is a student at the University of Washington studying Drama: Design for set design. He's very excited to be part of this amazing team. He's recently designed shows including Much Ado About Nothing, Cabaret, The Belfry Baby of Your Dreams, Beetlejuice, Something Rotten, Hadestown, Les Miserables, Little Women, Amelie, and more, with even more coming!

    Owen is a Seattle-based lighting designer and a recent graduate from the University of Washington School of Drama, graduating with a degree in Drama: Design. He is very excited to be a part of Figure Drawing For Dummies, his first show out of college. He is grateful for the opportunity to contribute to the Seattle theater community.

  • Allison Macip-Palacios

    COSTUME DESIGNER

    Allison Macip-Palacios (she/her) is a theatre artist focused on costume design and crafts artisanship originally from Kent, WA and now based in Seattle. A Drama: Design graduate from the University of Washington, she mostly recently designed costumes for Everybody. Past assistant costume designs include The Seagull, OMNIA Break Room, and Thrive, Or What You Will (UW School of Drama).

  • Finley Brown

    SOUND DESIGNER

    Finley is a recent graduate from the UW, where she studied History, Drama: Design, and Music. When not making sounds, you can find her collecting DVDs or playing too much Rhythm Heaven. Recent credits include Much Ado About Nothing with UTS, Bunny and Late, A Cowboy Song with UW Drama, and Eulogy with Pony World Theatre.

    Logan is a creative artist who, in truth, just wants to play. They like swords and puppets and old myths and they want to sing, stomp, and dance with such vigor that the layers of the earth and the vibrancy of the sky are able greet each other again.
